Terms of Service

Effective Date: February 27, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of RideScanners services, including ridescanners.com, related software, and any associated mobile or web applications (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility and Acceptance

You must be legally capable of entering a binding agreement to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. Service Description

RideScanners provides ride fare comparison insights, related decision support, and associated informational content. RideScanners does not operate transportation fleets and does not guarantee ride availability, provider behavior, pickup quality, or final third-party prices.

3. Accounts and Credentials

Some features may require an account. You are responsible for safeguarding login credentials and all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and promptly update it when necessary.

4. License and Permitted Use

Subject to these Terms, RideScanners grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal or internal business purposes. You may not copy, distribute, modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the Service except as expressly allowed by law.

5. Prohibited Conduct

6. Third-Party Platforms and Content

The Service may reference or link to third-party providers, ride apps, and external websites. Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms. RideScanners is not liable for third-party pricing, availability, content, policies, or operations.

7. Pricing, Subscriptions, and Payments

RideScanners may offer free and paid features. If you purchase a paid feature, you agree to the posted pricing, billing terms, and renewal conditions at checkout. Unless stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including software, design, text, trademarks, logos, and analytics frameworks, is owned by RideScanners or its licensors and protected by intellectual property law. No rights are granted except those expressly stated in these Terms.

9. User Submissions and Feedback

If you submit feedback, suggestions, or other materials, you grant RideScanners a worldwide, royalty-free, transferable license to use, reproduce, modify, and incorporate those submissions without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.

10. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by the Privacy Policy, which describes data practices, consent controls, and rights.

11. Service Changes and Availability

RideScanners may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, including for maintenance, security response, legal compliance, or product evolution. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" to the fullest extent permitted by law. RideScanners disclaims all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Fare estimates and recommendations are informational only and may differ from final amounts charged by third-party providers.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, RideScanners and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption.

In no event will RideScanners' aggregate liability exceed the greater of (a) amounts paid by you to RideScanners in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD $100.

14. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless RideScanners and its officers, employees, and partners from claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising from your misuse of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights.

15. Termination

RideScanners may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, create security risk, or engage in conduct that harms users or the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time.

16. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute not subject to mandatory arbitration shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to those venues.

17. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Updated Terms will be posted with a revised effective date. Continued use after the update means you accept the revised Terms.
